| Rice > Paraboiled Rice |
Parboiled/boiled
rice is produced by process of soaking, pressure
steaming and drying prior to milling. This helps the grain
to absorb most of the vital nutrients from the husk.
Process
Cleaning - Soaking - Steaming - Drying - Milling - Grading
& Sorting
In general, three major steps in parboiling i.e., soaking,
steaming and drying have a great influence on the final
characteristics and quality of the parboiled rice. The
rice grains are hardened sufficiently in the process of
parboiling and results in improved milling properties
and low breakage.
